Our Story
Dheerana Youth Forum was established in 2025 under the auspices of Kotte Sri Naga Viharaya with the purpose of creating a structured platform for the development and active engagement of young people.
The organisation was founded in response to the need for a youth movement that combines personal development with religious values, cultural awareness, social responsibility, and service to others. It provides young people with opportunities to develop their knowledge, skills, character, leadership abilities, and sense of responsibility through meaningful programmes and practical experience.
The name “Dheerana” reflects courage, determination, and strength of purpose. These qualities represent the kind of young individuals the organisation seeks to nurture—those who are disciplined in conduct, confident in action, compassionate towards others, and committed to making a positive contribution to society.
